'A Sigh of the Coal' a short play by New Vic Theatre Players
The New Vic Theatre Players will present a half-hour play at Halmer End Methodist Church on Thursday 15th November at 7.00 pm.
This is the story of the Minnie Pit Disaster told through the experiences of war poet Wilfred Owen through his poem 'Miners' and local girl Nancy Tipper, daughter of Frederick Tipper fireman at the Podmore Colliery.
