On Sunday 8th October Halmer End Methodist Church celebrated the 150th Anniversary of the building of the Chapel.
There have been special events held throughout the year and on Sunday 8th October we had a special service of celebration. The preacher was Rev'd Peter Barber BSc MA. Chair of the Chester and Stoke-on-Trent Methodist District. Rev'd Peter's sermon explained that although the focus today was on the anniversary of the building of the chapel, the real achievement was the Christian fellowship which had been taking place on the site over the decades. He reminded us that throughout that time, and throughout all time, God has been and always will be, faithful to us.
The service was followed by refreshments served in the hall.
It was lovely to see friends of the Chapel old and new at this special occasion.
