As we get up this morning, for some of us, it would be to go to Chapel. It feels very strange to have been told that this can't happen by our government. Instead of the Church gathered we remain the Church dispersed in our homes.
Let me remind you about the Tree of Hope in the grounds of Audley Methodist Church near the front notice board. Please feel free to hang or peg something of your choice on there and offer a prayer. Anyone who can't get out and would like their prayer added to the tree please comment to this post on Facebook and I will do it for you.
Assuring you all of my prayers in these uncertain times. Any suggestions of things that would be of help on a Facebook page please also comment and we as a church will try to provide.
In closing this post I offer a prayer:
God of the present moment,
God who in Jesus stills the storm
and soothes the frantic heart;
bring hope and courage to all
who wait or work in uncertainty.
Bring hope that you will make them the equal of whatever lies ahead.
Bring them courage to endure what cannot be avoided, for your will is health and wholeness; you are God, and we need you.
