The Birth of Jesus

Isaiah's Prophecy in Chapter 9 verse 6 of the Holy Bible of the birth of Jesus.

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.

And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

In the words of one of our Local Preachers from one of his Christmas Services based on a text from the Book of Amos Chapter 5 for "The coming of the Lord" our preacher says "

"Mary said yes, Joseph said yes, the Shepherd's said yes, the Magi said yes and so took their place in God's unfolding story. So when we say yes to God we too take our place in his unfolding story. When we say yes to God the ordinary is turned into the extraordinary. Let us hold on to that this Christmas and beyond and let us move onwards together."
