Christmas Tree Festival

Home » News » Christmas Tree Festival

The Brownies and Rainbows at Halmer End were asked, earlier in the year, to take part in the Christmas Tree Festival held in St.James Church, Audley this December 2021.

We have based our tree decorations on a story given to Brown Owl by Mrs. Sylvia Minshall. However, we have dedicated it to Mrs. Joyce Rowley. Brown Owl actually heard her tell the story many years ago at Sunday School.

The story is based on a spider who saves Jesus from Herod`s soldiers. The spider recognises that Jesus is special and wants to give a present to him and spins his very best beautiful Web. The tree is covered in spiders and webs, Brownie promise badges and rainbows.

If you are intrigued please visit the church as the spider story is displayed by the tree.,

St James Church will be open daily this week from the 13th December until the 17th of December when you can view all of the trees.
