Halmer End Methodist Church (ST7 8AD) invite you to a Harvest Thanksgiving & Primitive Methodism Weekend from the 16th to 18th September.

The Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum of Primitive Methodism have prepared an exhibition to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Hugh Bourne, one of the co-founders of Primitive Methodism, and the exhibition is on display at different locations throughout the country during this year. It is coming to Halmer End from the 16th to the 18th September. Viewing details are on the poster with an invitation to the special Harvest Thanksgiving Service on Sunday 18th September at 3.00 pm which will be led by Elizabeth Morris and Ruth Hilton from the Museum. Harvest produce will be sold after the service with proceeds for the Museum.

This is an opportunity to discover a little more about Hugh Bourne, a North Staffs man, who was co-founder of the Primitive Methodist Church and is described as 'A transformed life that transformed lives'.

We look forward to seeing you sometime over the weekend.
