Messy Church Salt and Light Service

Instead of the usual Youth Club on Monday evening, Halmer End Methodist Church held a Messy Church on the theme of Salt and Light. On arrival the children took part in a treasure hunt for items hidden around the church, finding torches, tea lights and salt. Then there were four craft activities – making lighthouses, using scratch colour cards, moulding and shaping salt dough and an experiment with salt and ice. There was a short worship time with LED balloons followed by a snack meal together.
