Webteam: January 2018
On Sunday 14th January 2018, the chapel was full for the Service of Commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Minnie Pit disaster. Led by Rev'd John Palmer and Dr. Jill Barber (Vice President of the Methodist Conference in the 2015 -- 2016 year), the service was broadcast live by Radio Stoke represented by Lamont Howie. This brought to an end a full weekend of events at different locations in the village, a fitting tribute to the 156 men and boys who died 100 years ago.
You can hear this service for the next month on the BBC Radio Stoke website and following the links.
