On December 12th the Rainbows and Brownies had a rather special party at a different venue (due to voting at Halmer End Chapel). 7 leaders, 7 Rainbows and 10 Brownies all met at Madeley Methodist Church Hall wearing their Christmas jumpers. This was to take part in the annual social justice strategy for the Guide Association. We had been asked to wear our Christmas jumpers, have a party and donate the week`s subscription to 'Save the Children`Charity.
The Leaders and children had a really fun time . We played games, danced and had chips and hot fruit punch to keep warm. We enjoyed looking at all the festive jumpers. There was also a special visit from Santa who was helped by the elves (see picture).
A big 'thank you' particularly goes to Wise Owl who managed to hire the hall for us as she is a member of Madeley Methodist Church. .
We have subsequently had stalls after meetings to raise extra funds for the charity and have managed to raise £105 for 'Save the Children`. It is good to be able to help other people as part of our promise while all enjoying ourselves together .
