Remembrance at Minnie Pit Heritage Centre

On Thursday 11th November 2021 four military veterans joined a group of workers who were doing maintenance work on the Minnie Pit Heritage Site. At 11.00 am work stopped and the group gathered around the Disaster Memorial to share in the national two minutes silence for all who died in the wars. This was an appropriate time to also remember the miners who died in the Minnie Pit during the first World War and their families.
