On Friday 18th February a party of folk from Halmer End Methodist Church with friends visited Chester Cathedral to see a stunning exhibition of huge silk panels re- imagining the Genesis story of Creation.
This dramatic exhibition of textile art consists of twelve panels retelling the creation story from the first pages of the first book of the Bible, Genesis.
It was created by textile artist Jacqui Parkinson, and took nearly three years to complete – and over 8 million stitches.
